i hate when good artists get discovered because dumb bitches start saying shit like ‘OMGZ i love this song!!! have you heard of them? they’re my fav’ when you’ve known them for a good 2-3 years already.

omfg i was just talking about that with one of my friends. i have loved owl city for ages and the other day i randomly went onto the itunes store and noticed fireflies was number one. my heart literally plummeted. i also loved hollywood undead AGES before undead became popular, tokio hotel way before they translated all their songs and became known in the US…the list goes on. but ugh so true -_-
I agree 100%. I’m always bitching about this to everyone I know. The thing is, people don’t appreciate him either, it’s always “Oh my god! I love Owl City THEY are so good” or something equally r-tarded. It’s Adam Young, thats it and each of his songs not only make you feel 100% better but are complete poetry.

Today these two bitches in my 1st period started talking about Owl City. One bitch insisted that the song was not “Fireflies” but “1000 fireflies” it would not once go through her fat ass head how many ever times the right name was yelled at her. They were saying the song is emo and very depressing, once again completely ignoring others saying that the song makes them happy.
The two bitches then went on to say that Adam Young’s voice was too creepy and sounded like screamo. The one talked about Halloween night when she heard this song when two , she called them weird, but they sounded like goth or emo girls that were related to her boyfriend. But she said “scream songs” ,it’s called screamo bitch, and the girls were headbanging to them, until “Fireflies” came on and she said she was about to turn it to hip-hop music and set the two girls straight. Well, I have a couple words about setting the two girls ‘straight,’ and it goes a little something like this. “Listen here bitch, do you realize who is in this room with you (one row in front of me was this HOT guy that is the singer in a local screamo band) two kids in this room that like screamo and Owl City, I personally kind of like some rap music (very few songs) but I would rather listen to screamo on the loudest volume it can go than listen to you two FUCKIN’ BITCHES go on about how weird Owl City and screamo is!!! If anyone should set anyone ‘straight’ it’s gonna be me and my knuckles in your nose! So shut your fuckin mouths before I do it for you! OK?”
